Asbestos is a building material that can withstand heat, erosion and decay. It is a naturally occurring substance which looks a bit like fabric fibres or wool. It was widely used in residential properties until the 1980s but has now been banned nationally since 2004.

Before undergoing any renovation or major demolition project in your home, you should have your property tested for any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs)
 

The most accurate way to find out if your property contains Asbestos is to have a licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor - ASCON Industries, to inspect, safely remove a sample and refer it an accredited Lab for testing.
